ChilliSauce optimizes core business processes with Cloud CMS
Chillisauce is one of the UK's largest and fastest growing event agencies, delivering thousands of memorable activities and experiences for both groups and companies across Europe every year.
ChilliSauce make it incredibly easy for groups of any size to enjoy events and weekends away. Whether it's marking a special occasion like your best friend's stag do, spending the day shooting zombies or driving fast cars purely for fun, brainstorming with colleagues at the Big Brother house, or having a kickabout and a pint with England legends like Darren Anderton, Dion Dublin and David Seaman just because you and your mates love football. Chillisauce makes it happen.
The foundation of the business at ChilliSauce is firmly in the travel sector which means working with a very broad range of suppliers, from multinational hotel chains to Welsh hill farmers who offer outdoor activities.
Not surprisingly, this means that the levels of technology used by suppliers vary enormously. From global distribution systems to pen and paper notebooks, ChilliSauce needed to provide a unified view for their internal and external users that spans a number of different pricing models.
Previously, ChilliSauce had to create complex table structures in multiple products. With Cloud CMS, they've now built a comprehensive, core data model directly into a single system.
This was achieved using native support for JSON schemas in Cloud CMS, coupled with:
- Types - which establish the core content attributes
- Features - allow consistent segments across types (e.g. Multilingual, Rating)
- Associations - enable mapping between types / define relationships
In addition, ongoing changes to any portion are made in real-time - without rebooting. The dynamic dictionary in Cloud CMS yields an extremely flexible approach, that can easily be revised as suppliers processes for ChilliSauce continue to evolve.
Just as crucial: the inherent API-first design of Cloud CMS allows ChilliSauce to build a compelling presentation tier completely within their desired framework, AngularJS. This maximizes existing skills and yields a common platform for all of their
in order to significantly increase self-service and automation for the 120,000 people who will go on a Chillisauce organized event this year.
