DevOps Engineer

Role Description:

Cloud CMS is seeking a DevOps Engineer to focus on application infrastructure and cloud architecture (such as performance monitoring and deployment management). You will use your skills as both a sys admin and software developer to manage our SaaS product, our On-Premise product, and support our managed services. If you love architecting, managing, monitoring, scaling, or just bragging about modern cloud applications, then this just might be the job for you.

To succeed in this position you will need to learn our tech stack while remaining tech agnostic in your search for the best solutions to our engineering challenges. You will need at least 3 years of production experience in either a high uptime or high throughput environment to be successful.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Release engineering: Unified tooling and methodology for code release
  • Integration engineering: Continuously integrate, test, and build code regularly and efficiently, progressing code from local environments to production with ability to roll back.
  • Scaling and tuning: Benchmark, scale and tune application and data services based on testing with identified tools or code written in-house
  • Software Configuration Management: Architecting and maintaining environment specific configuration management for applications
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
Required skills:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a DevOps related position
  • An aptitude for new languages and technologies
  • Experience with Docker (including Docker Compose, Docker Engine, Swarm, etc)

You will work as a member of our team in both Engineering and Consulting, delivering solutions as well as enhancing the core product.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Developing software for our Cloud CMS product suite
  • Developing/delivering solutions for our Customers with Cloud CMS and AlpacaJS
  • Maintaining current technical documentation at the code, design and user levels
  • Maintaining the software on an ongoing basis (Cloud CMS and AlpacaJS)
  • Liaising with our dedicated product support team to assist with troubleshooting and fixing customer-raised defects
Required skills:
  • Advanced understanding of the JavaScript language and specification
  • Experience with Node.js for production-grade consumer facing applications
  • Expert understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
  • 1 year minimum experience with Git and GitHub
